Solvay vastly expands its production of vanillin and heliotropin

Solvay unveiled it was making significant investments in the vanillin space at Fi Europe 2019 in Paris. The company announced a joint venture called CATàSYNTH with the India-based firm Anthea. “This development provides the market with the first completely vertically integrated chain in heliotropin chemistry,” says Peter Browning, President of Solvay Aroma Performance. The company also revealed that it would be doubling the production capacity of its Rhovanil Natural Crystal White, which has seen a surge of demand since the original plant opened three years ago.
