Earlier this year, Solazyme was rebranded to TerraVia to reflect a new focus on food, nutrition and specialty ingredients. The shift comes shortly after a successful start in the food industry: with investments in manufacturing facilities, the company is officially able to sell ingredients on a commercial scale, all regulatory requirements within the food sector are now secured, and already, enthusiastic adoption of food ingredients among major food manufacturers, industry leaders and consumers has begun.
